Silverton Cafe this weekend!

Don't forget folks, we are at the luxurious Silverton Cafe next weekend, September 27th 9pm-1am.

Their website is HERE
and their full menu (PDF) is HERE

You can go HERE to try and find the place.

They have marvelous food until 11pm and it's a great atmosphere to watch a band... Especially our band. (ahem!)

Some new tunes posted

I've been feeling guilty that we haven't posted anything that we've played with Shane (even though he's gone), so I've put a couple of things up:

Crazy Little Thing Called Love
The Bends
The Connection

They are all available under the MP3 Files menu selection as well.

All of these were recorded during our first gig with Shane, Memorial Day 2007 at Koenig Park, in Reading, OH.

New song added to the MP3 Files section

Finally getting around to adding some stuff. Just Like Heaven has been added to the MP3 Files section of the main menu. Recorded a couple of years ago at Jewel Records in Mt. Healthy, Pat included :)

New song clip added!

A (very) short snippet of a live Down With Disease from Silverton Cafe is available under the "MP3 Files" section of the menu. The 4-track was severely overdriven and this is the best part. If I ever get it cleaned up where it might be listenable, it will show up here.

A little update.

Well folks, it's been almost exactly one year since Mr. Adams flew the coop to the peaceful, pleasant temperature and safety of Phoenix, AZ. We have missed him dearly, but as they say, the show must go on.

We've been fortunate enough to be able to gig a few times, eight to be exact, over the last year, with and without various guitar players. They all did venerable jobs, and we thank them for it, but the search for a permanent replacement has been a much needed, grueling effort.

We are very proud, pleased and relieved to announce that the search is over! Without further ado, we would like to heartily welcome Mr. Greg Patterson to the fold that is Chubby.

We are planning to have a gig booked for January '08, so keep your eyes on the website for further updates. It's guaranteed to be a show not to miss.

Chubby gets dumped, but scores on the rebound.

Well, that guy we hoped would stick around until we fired him, has fired us, it seems. So, we regret to inform you, we've had to let Shane go for actions detrimental to a band: quitting.

Shane has gone to pursue an opportunity with a hardcore gender-bending punk band, and we wish him all the best . Seriously though, we enjoyed playing (music) with Shane and appreciate the effort on a job well done. We would love to have him sit in with us anytime he doesn't have a guitar handy. :-P

We had been planning on playing this gig as a three-piece band, which hasn't been all that much of a stretch since Pat moved away and took all of the wrong notes with him! :) As we were setting up, our good friend (and yours) Chris Finkbone stopped by to say hello.

"Hello", he said.

"Go get your guitar", we said.

You would have thought Chris was an expectant father, with all the pacing, sweating and the heavy breathing while continuously muttering, "I don't know _any_ of these songs!".

After explaining that the songs were "that easy", he reluctantly agreed. What a good choice. We had a fantastic gig and Chris performed to a 'T', especially since we were playing together for the very first time, ever. Thanks Chris for joining us on stage at the last possible moment, and performing like a true pro. Something many would say is a genuine miracle :)
